The bitch in the first screenshot got called out for not playing prolly the most popular entry among diehard fans (Majora's Mask). She bills herself as a Zelda account and posts faggy ship slop and fandom memes (also a shitton of engagement farming posts like "delete one game forever").

But she only got into the series in 2019 with BotW (after it had already blown up and received GOTY awards and whatnot). Not that you can't be a fan after such and such date but for someone who posts about the series constantly, you'd think she'd at least play the bulk of the games. 7 years is more than enough time to play every game lmao but she didn't even play OoT until a few months ago from what I understand.

Also she's anti-white and possibly jewish. Just a few weeks ago she was stirring up fights over OoT's Gerudo being "orientalist".

Then there's this gross troon who apparently created the Zelda wiki (the Fandom site, not Zelda Dungeon which is far better) who ALSO didn't beat Majora's Mask.

BotW ruined Zelda forever.

I got a new job at one point and had like a week between leaving one and starting the other so I bought a switch and botw and binged it (literally played like 10 hrs a day for 4 or 5 days) and came to the conclusion that its a mile wide and an inch deep

Great music, great art style, great environment design, over awesome vibe, terrible combat, terrible enemy variety, zero dungeons

Itd be an incredible game if there was actually anything to do besides climb all the over the place just to find materials you dont actually need
reminds me of this stupid meme. the absolute SOY aside, kid got a hinox toenail? who the fuck CARES
when was the last time you used a hinox toenail? to make "elixers"? why would you need those? I never made an elixer once lol

the game ecosystem really is an inch deep because you never get anything concrete as a reward for playing, not even a story. that's why I think the games thrive on clip farming. everybody posts their ridiculous inventions in TotK and people get mad when you point out they don't have any use in the actual game. saw a clip where a dude killed a hinox with a giant wrecking ball and laughed when he skipped out on collecting any of the shit he dropped. Because it's all WORTHLESS LMAO

My only objection to the argument is that that it always seems to boil down to either "the controls absolutely need to be shit" and "I like treating enemies like early 2000s Black Friday shoppers."

Having played all the classic REs except 0, the only time in them where you cannot simply shoot every single enemy in front of you dead is in the first thirty minutes of RE1 where you are BRIEFLY knowledge checked out of ammo. REmake might be a little bit more demanding in that regard, due to tougher zombie juking and the crimson heads. The difference between classic RE and RE4 is not nearly as big as people might imply.

Haven't played Pragmata yet. I honestly don't think I've seen a game this year that makes me think "That's it! That's the one!" so right now the GOTY bar is not particularly hard to clear. Maybe I'm forgetting one but this year we're not seeing a lot of competition in the early months. So right now the choices are RE9, Pragmata, or Bunny Garden 2.

RE9 is probably not something I'd give GOTY to except by default. It is two excellent halves of different yet complementary games stapled together, but it's not as rewarding to repeated play as some of the better games in the genre. It's not something I see myself picking up and running again, and the higher difficulty is a bit of a wash. The DLC is probably needed to round out the package.

The problem is we already live in an overtly ugly world, at least when it comes to society and that developer just makes games that are kind of ugly. I'm not saying that he should change his art or whatever, just sharing why people are turned off by it.

@WhitestTemplar @DEERBLOOD @DrRyanSkelton @RaHoWaJoe @Shadowbroker2135 @suquili @bleedingphoenix i wouldnt really call mewgenics ugly, it's cartoony it does use a few guts here and there but it never really reaches the same levels as the binding of isaac

i fact i'd say it's pretty light hearted tho then again, i live in the country where death is always around the corner so maybe i have developed a higher tolerance i dont know

Initially yes. But it has been called "Dad Space" in reference to Dead Space and the fact that the robot girl is treated more like an adopted daughter in the game's story. It actually has some really cute moments. While I have no doubt there will be Pragmata rule34, the game itself is much more wholesome. Shinzo Abe would approve of it because it is some good marriage and baby making propaganda.

It's not really horror, though some of the robots in the game are kind of creepy looking. It has more to do with the fact that you are wearing a heavy looking spacesuit and you are in space. It's also a third person shooter like Dead Space.

I watched that RE fake fan drama unfold on Twitter a couple months back (very similar to this situation) but I don't know anything about Resident Evil. That said, I'd probably be pissed about the change too. I'd imagine the old games being survival horror jives better with the story and execution. I'm all about story in games and I think everyone who discounts it is a nigger. Miyamoto is the biggest nigger of them all. Koizumi was the one who made Zelda good. Not a nigger.

There's not much motion control in it at all, though it does use gyro aiming. That's how I feel about most games though. I only get every Zelda because I grew up with it. It's hard to get me to play a new game otherwise.

The new Zeldas are *fun* but they lack soul in every other area most notably story. Never does it feel like you're taking part in some urgent quest to overcome evil with lots of twists and turns. This is because the whole "story" in both games is a fetch quest of "memories" i.e. flashbacks. It's all flashbacks. The present-day story is basically already over once you complete the tutorial because by that point, you can go fight the final boss. Meaning everything in the game is glorified side content. It's the worst.
And idiots will say "oh but it's very difficult so you kinda have to do the dungeons, it's like training" but that's irrelevant and not entirely true.

The very fact it's possible means that nothing of note can happen by completing the dungeons, because you're already able to storm the castle and kill Ganon. Normally in Zelda, every dungeon is part of a wider quest to gain access to Ganon, and oftentimes his quest starts with much more quaint intentions that spiral into something bigger. But in these two games their purpose is to aid Link's final fight. They make the fight easier because Link is more powerful. But you could try (and possibly succeed) to fight Ganon without doing those things. You know what we call those in the industry? SIDE QUESTS

I get a lot of low IQ goyim stares when I explain this to people. I've come to the conclusion that only low IQ people can like these games. Conscious people see through their facade right away, even if they're fun. No magic.

I think they're fun but there was far more drama and kino in the older games. I lived for those moments. Nu games don't have that as much. Or to the extent they do, they feel poorly executed. I'd like for a Zelda game where the story isn't flashbacks. It's not the type of game that works with that story model.

Animal Crossing fans feel similar about New Horizons apparently. It saw a similar explosion because of covid memes and old fans dislike it because you have too much freedom so it's not really the same game. I played a little bit of New Leaf but didn't like the aspect where *you* were the mayor of the town. So I can kinda relate.
