This week's apples are positively awful. They're getting better day by day so maybe they were just unripe, but I get a tingly reaction on my lips and in my throat and the taste is sour-ish and un-apple-y

@WandererUber most fruits contain toxins until fully ripe. that is what keeps animals from prematurely eating them. If they do not taste good, I would only sample in extreme moderation.

Cooking them can help reduce their toxicity. And, even once they are ripe, cooking the apples can make them gentler on your body.
