sometimes when people chill at my computer setup they ask me where my speaker is so they can play music and I just have to say "I don't have one, sorry"
they are baffled by this and I just wonder why they like speakers so much. I have headphones for my PC and for my phone.

I get the disadvantage of not playing stuff for everyone, but this isn't the living room, you know? Why does there have to be noise everywhere?

@WandererUber same.
I use IEMs/headphones exclusively, and sometimes my roommate comes here to make me watch some stupid video he sent me, and we have that uncomfortable situation where I am watching the video listening to it with the phones, and he is standing besides me looking at the screen without hearing anything.

I don't have speakers in my PC setups since the 2010's. My room is not a place for people to hang around watching stuff. They can do it in the living room. Preferably in some other house's living room.

Headphones increase my body temperature to an ungodly degree after a while (especially in summer) so I prefer speakers if I don't need my mic. Also I don't listen to music all day long with the highest volume to disturb everybody around me so speakers for the occasional YouTube video are just more comfy.
