@eris i remember when the GBA SP added a backlight (though there had been mods for the original GBA before that). it was like coming out of the black-and-white room lol.

@eris I remember when the first gameboy came out and someone brought one to school and you couldn't see jack shit on it but it was so fucking cool compared to the tiger lcd games

@sun my grandpa had the original, he played Kirby and Harvest Moon on it so I'd play it when I visited even though I had a GBA. I thought it was really cool

@sun @eris I never had that much problems with them as a kid... until I tried to play my GBC as an adult a few years ago. The light in my room wasn't ideal for it and I legit couldn't see shit. I don't understand how I ever put it with it as a kid

@sun @ageha @cell @eris I got a 286 in 1992. It was years out of date but it was the first computer that was mine. Previously we had an apple //c that was a shared family computer.
