A skill that everyone should have is, being able to look at text without reading it.

I feel like most people just automatically read what ever they see.

Why do you think this skill is important?

Another example is, realizing a message is from someone who wants to attack you, drag you into an argument or hellthread.

There is a big difference is the emotional impact of processing intent, or digesting the whole message.

Personally, I just don't like to feeling of being forced to think something, so I value being able to not process text or audible voices at will.

Anti-mind control if you will. And, it has benefited me quite a bit.

Yeah that makes sense. I don't like how everything has direct write access to the brain.

I did, many times from Kindergarten all the way to high school. She thought of me as a gnat and I'm sure she still does.
