Does this update show that he actively opened poast in his browser, or could it be that his phone was turned on by a family member and it had to connect to your server for notifications or something?

it's any connection with a token linked to that account. Considering the last one was over 2 weeks ago I don't think it's a phone background notification thing unless they are randomly turning his phone on every 2 weeks for something
