@pwm @whirly in the 1990s I remember being at a college promotion event and someone asked if they didn't know x y an z how could they go to college and the guy straight up said "university will just teach you high school again if you need it"

@sun @whirly yeah I figured out in high school that the amount of new material introduced each year is extremely minimal and that you were essentially wasting time for the rest of it.
I don't know if there's really a point to noticing it because without the wholesale destruction of public education, nothing will change.
I am an advocate for the wholesale destruction of public education fwiw.

@pwm @whirly @sun I remember saying in high school that I was sick of learning about native americans every single year and someone with native ancestry got mad at me for it.
