We don't have those type of laws here. I recall there are other protections in the EU and Canada. I can't remember what they are offhand though. I don't run across them often.

I think it's kind of a parallel to false light defamation, as you mentioned. In any case, even if there's no explicit law, enough angry people are a law until themselves, and Meta will have to back down - and just mix 2 or 3 together instead of using one specific one...

And that's real issue.

Wait until their likeness starts showing up on AI-generated porn or worse, being put on a crime captured on a Flock camera.

Typically, if your likeness was used in an ad without permission, you'd have a right to sue for false light defamation, which can be quite lucrative depending on the product. Note "without permission", hence the TOS issue.
