I asked her if she thought there was a connection between her parents being smart and her own children being smart. she said it was because her family valued education. 
The high end of the IQ scale is unreliable. It's fairly easy to tell if someone is retarded, but it's hard to construct a test that will differentiate between a genius and a Rainman type idiot-savant. Guess which one there's a lot more of 😏

Midwits like to say that the "geniuses" are too smart to talk to anyone, but the >2SD do it everyday, effortlessly. Their entire lives are spent practicing how to talk to people they personally regard as retarded.
The people most offended by this are the TOTALLY NOT RETARDED's between 0 and 115 who know exactly how much smarter than the Real Retards they are. They can look below, but they cannot look above.
Anyways, long way to say, the 2SD and above can self-identify, and they know how to display humility. A 2SD isn't going to be offended when a 6SD asks a 4SD for advice.
