@WandererUber @PurpCat there are some portions that i disagree with, like the fact that a lot of energy is just made with nonrenewables right now so electric cars ain't as green as he thinks, plus there's significant energy and pollution expended to make batteries and solar so they're not completely faultless, and right to repair on cars riddled with proprietary software is a challenge, but otherwise unfortunately yes, he's generally right on both counts

@WandererUber well i didn't say you liked him, i just associate fascism with bigger government, which I don't see how I'm wrong about that since it requires absolute executive authority to function properly
@7666 yeah I guess. You're probably thinking technical definitions which makes sense honestly. I was just making a play on words on what the guy said in the video and calling Trump a fascist is still really stupid, especially considering how much of a Jew stooge he is.
And on the ICE thing specifically, which he was seething about, he's just wrong. They're making a big deal out of the two dead protesters and it's really not, because their claims of ICE "assassinating" them or whatever are obviously not true and you have to be kinda deranged to believe that.

@WandererUber you have to go one step further than just law enforcement killings which are not new. the entire department of justice is attempting to justify, via character assassination, those actions, regardless of the truth of them, to the point where previously sacred rights like 2A and 4A are being trampled over. that's the real problem, and what it shows is executive capture of the judicial and therefore complete compromise of the fed.

@WandererUber state and federal level are different. blue states gonna blue state. the distinction is that the current administration campaigned on being protectors of these rights at the federal level and to watch them toss them entirely aside in the pursuit of their goals, justified or not, is what's quite bad. usually they just do this crap in very targeted scenarios (bump stocks in 2017 as an example) compared to dems, not holistically to the point of disarming.
what this tells me (and maybe i should have seen this coming) is that no single policy or position is safe from their hypocrisy and therefore you now have a rogue apparatus of the state that can justify its own actions without oversight, which has far worse consequences than short term gains on policies you may be in favor of.

@7666 I mean even aside that my responses to your last point apparently didn't even register: All of this has been the case as long as I have been alive and I realized that this was so probably 10 years ago. And many people feel that way. The only reason Trump was able to win was because all of those disillusioned people thought he was sufficiently outside the system to break this up. But he wasn't. Which, in hindsight, is also kinda obvious.
