We pay 16% of their budget.

Remember when Trump threatened to stop helping Ukraine and the Top Fuckwit at NATO said that they would go at it without the US, made a plan to do so, then asked Trump if the plan was okay, but Trump said "No" so they didn't do it?

Something like that.
>We pay 16% of their budget.
you do know what the point of NATO is right?

>Remember when Trump [...]
no, not really. Trump is still paying for Ukraine. Remember when Trump said he would end the war in 24 hours? Whatever happened to that?
The point is, Ukraine war broke out because the US wanted Ukraine in their SOI.

This seems like you believe the "the NATO countries actually benefit from US rescuing them and paying for all their stuff all the time" that the mainstream Right constantly spouts. This is exactly the kind of myopic delusions I don't like seeing.
>you do know what the point of NATO is right?

To steal money from tax payers to give to military defense contractors and politicians under the guise of keeping the country safe from a nuclear armed superpower? Yeah.

Yeah, Trump's a fuckin' nigger, no doubt. But when NATO wants to do anything, they ask our president if it's okay.

The war in Ukraine broke out because the "west" wanted Ukraine in their sphere of influence. Virtually every EU country has expressed support for Ukraine joining the EU and NATO and are willing to pay 40% higher energy prices in support of that effort.
>NATO is only for stealing money
It does steal money, but NATO has a real geostrategic purpose and it's to consolidate Western countries under the US militarily.
Like you said,
>But when NATO wants to do anything, they ask our president if it's okay.

This is entirely distinct from the American-public-facing nonsense that is "we are supposed to look out for each other, but America pays too large a share. That's unfair!"
Basically all members of NATO are American vassals and the whole POINT is them not having militaries.
Perhaps the most obvious example is (western) Germany, but the others are functionally the same.

All functions and tasks of NATO are set to further US interests.
Therefore it's nonsense to claim "US carries NATO" like the quoted post.
>Virtually every EU country has expressed support for Ukraine joining the EU and NATO
which is the US SOI.
>are willing to pay 40% higher energy prices in support of that effort.
Tail wags dog. European countries are dependent on the US so they MUST accept it. The public messaging is cope to hide this fact.
The US blew up the pipeline after SANCTIONING every single corporation that worked on it for decades. European governments hid the evidence for the former and go along with the latter.
It's more than obvious what happens over there.
