No one has ever actually explained to me why we should keep teaching cursive any more than we should keep teaching Gregg shorthand

12Cursive is just formalized handwriting slop. It is designed for the sole purpose of not having to expend the effort of lifting a pen 1mm off the paper between letters, and in the process makes the output completely inscrutable to anyone familiar with only the standard alphabet. Mury Rothbard's last manuscript couldn't be published because he hadn't finished typing it from his chicken-scratch scrawl and nobody else in the world who cares to try could decipher it until some savant (or, who can say, perhaps a charlatan) picked it up a quarter-century later and said he could read it fine. What kind of writing system is that? You've been played for absolute fools.
>They came up with a fancy acronym, "ESW" english standard writing when i went through learning how to write.
With how they completely fucked up math learning twice, I wouldn't be surprised if they fucked up learning cursive as well. Probably with some completely dumb methods. Just like "new math" and "common core".
traditional curriculum keeps getting thrown out as outdated and useless and what are they doing with that time instead? they park kids in front of tablets so the teacher can fuck off on reddit, and then everyone is shocked that the next crop of adults is weak, uncoordinated, can't focus on anything, can't read a damn clock, doesn't know what anything is
