The issue is that with a bullet with this much kinetic energy it would either punch through so fast it doesnt dump and of it, or it dumps all of it to stop in which case his neck would have visible exploded, at least internally, from the cavitation. You cant get around the physics. It is impossible to dumb 2200 ft/lbs of energy into a neck without seeing it.

Tyler's parents believe he did it and said Tyler told them he did it and told the police about his sus behavior in the month prior. Tyler's family friend believes he did it and told the police he confessed. DNA and prints were collected at the scene and sent of to crimelab, the FBI, and the ATF. The prosecution is unknowingly prosecuting a patsy? And the defense is unknowingly defending a patsy? Why isn't the defense raising these questions that you have? The defense did very little to overcome the evidence.

He confessed to his parents, and they believed him. All of these people have given sworn statements. The parents and family friend were interviewed individually but separately. Twiggs was given working immunity (which is not complete immunity) for his statement. Then, Tyler confessed to his discord group.
And, if the defense raised enough doubt to leverage a plea bargain to get the death penalty off the table, he will plead guilty and give allocution, detailing exactly what he did in his own words.

Also, it's not necessarily a "confession" if it doesn't corroborate the crime. A naked "I did it" can be prejudicial and excluded from evidence.
The reason is that "confessions" are an exception to the hearsay rule. Thus, if the only effect of the utterance is to make other evidence look more damming, rather than to show unique knowledge of the crime, etc, a good defense attorney will get it thrown out.

Exactly, and if you look at false confession cases, what usually occurs is that the "confession" corroborates the crime, but only because the police fed the suspect facts before getting the confession.
